A Life Time Adventure - Scunthorpe

We stayed in Winterton, a small village North Lincolhshire. There are lots of houses here but with only two supermarket, Tesco Express and Cooperative Supermarket.

We went into one of the larger town nearby, Scunthorpe which is an iron mining town. The shopping area was appropriately named the Foundry. It is a nice place to be and it is a pedestrian mall so no danger of traffic.

A Life Time Adventure - Up North To Winterton

A View From Where We Stayed.

From Oxeted we took a trip up to Winterton to spend a few days there. Along the way we made a slight detour to visit Cambridge, the famous University Town.

A Life Time Adventure - Hello London!

While in London we stayed in Oxted, it is almost just outside of London in Surrey. It is a nice little town with lots of facilities and a train station close by.

We went into London to visit relatives and had a quick look around, mainly in Waterloo and Clapham Junction area.

We went back to Oxted in the evening and that was my first adventure in London.

A Life Time Adventure

The day finally arrived, March 31st. 2015 the start of life time adventure. We never thought that we would have done anything like this but ... Anyway after a few month of planning and lots of googling we are ready to go.

It was not without hiccup, a day before one of the luggage started to disintegrate and so we quickly got ourselves another and luckily the sale was still on. Luckily we were still home when it happened.

Our ride to Singapore.

Princess and Precious was with us and the ride to Singapore was boring but I was surprised that the bus was comfortable.

Once in Singapore we headed straight to Precious's place to park our luggage and my left foot was hurting. I thought to myself maybe my left foot had grown a little until Precious asked why am I wearing different shoes and not a pair. I looked down and oops!

After doing what we had to do in Raffles Place, went shopping quickly for a new pair of shoes. Then it was dinner with a long time friend and off to the airport we go.

Then we were in the air with Finnair for a very long flight to London with a transit in Helsinki.

Arrived in Helsinki airport early in the morning and everything is cold ...brrr! Snow everywhere, it was our first time seeing it. Glad we do not have to step out of the airport building.

An hour and a half later we will be airborne again and it is London here we come!
