China 26th December 2017 to 1st January 2018 - Day 1

We were just thinking of going somewhere and our friend suggested China. She is already booked on a package tour with her sister and told us to join them. China! we thought for a quick while and decided yeah, why not.

We left home after dinner on Christmas day to catch the bus to the airport to make it in time meet up with the rest of the group for check in at 3:00am the next morning.

Malacca Bus Station
We arrived at the airport at just a little past mid-night and headed to MacDonald for a cuppa and free wi-fi.

Soon it was check in time and the usual this and that and finally arrived at our destination by late morning.

The food came quickly and gone as quickly, it was the survival of the fastest. Anyway the food was just normal Chinese style everyday food. Maybe it was our first meal after such a long journey and it tasted OK.

Yaoshan Mountain
A relic - the Tank not me!
Our first tourist stop is Yaoshan Mountain. To get to the peak we can either walk which might take a whole day or take a cable chair ride which is about 25 minutes.

After a short rest it was dinner time and the food was more or less same as lunch. No photos because it was the survival of the fastest!

It had been a very tiring day and very much lacking in sleep. So after dinner and a hot bath it's time to say good night.
