Seeds

Veggie seeds ...... where to buy huh?? Departmental store? Hypermarket? Friendly neighbourhood hardware store? Supermarket? WOW!!! never knew it could be such a whole lot of trouble to seek out where those farmers got their seeds from.

Check out the gardening section of a departmental store and found a display rack with veggie and flower seeds in a mess. Some seed starters - those brown 50cents size like looking thing - were scattered around the rack from a carelessly open pack like some curious customer poking their fat fingers into the packaging for a feel and dumping the pack back quickly to get away from the scene of the crime. Anyway the condition of the packaging of the few remaining packs of seed is in a real pathetic state. Those found in the hypermarket looks more presentable, maybe it is more saleable because it is 20cents cheaper per pack with more varieties. Something is still not right, they look amateurish like toys maybe because of the way they are displayed. Anyway I am still very much curious where the farmers get their supply from.

Bling!!!! Got an idea .......why not check with the veggie seller in the pasar malam?? When we went to get our weekly supply of greens from our regular pasar malan veggie supplier I asked her where to get veggie seeds ........ the reply was kind of a reluctant like as though I might become her competitor.

Armed with location of the seed supplier, I went to seek it out the very next day. WOW!! Yes I was rather impressed by the amount of seeds available which makes me feel amateurish. OK! ok! yes I am indeed an amateur and have yet to confirm my fingers are green or not hehe!!! Oh ya the chilly seeds are from the dried chillies that my wife is going to transform in yummy sambal. ;)
